What do you enjoy about your job?
The main thing I enjoy about my job is assisting families during this very terrible time.
I enjoy supporting staff, being involved in the local community and the ability to give back to the community with voluntary involvement, sponsoring events and attending community functions. I also enjoy that my role enables me to be in a position of a local leader.
How long have you been location manager?
I have been a location manager at Mulqueen Funerals Coburg for 7 years and in the funeral industry for over 20 years.
What do you enjoy in your spare time?
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, wife and three children including activities. I'm also a firefighter at my local CFA which involves training every Tuesday night and fire calls whenever they occur. I also follow the footy, supporting Essendon and am a keen gardener.
Are there any special community groups you work with or support?
I'm involved with the Rotary Club of Coburg, CFA, a local footy club, a Woodworkers Club, church, and a member of five Italian Clubs.
Le Pine Funerals supports a range of community programs designed to help the young and old alike, as well as hosting memorial services and informational seminars.
Some of the organisations we work closely with are: 20th Man Fund, Lions, Rotary Club, Masonic Lodge and Community Sporting Clubs.
Preplanning your funeral makes sense. A prepaid funeral takes the emotional stress off your family, locks in your funeral cost at today’s price, and allows you to plan things your way.
When you're organising a funeral service, one of the first decisions will be whether you are organising a burial or a cremation. This choice will directly impact the type of funeral service you will have.
In the Book of Ideas, funeral directors have shared some of their stories of how families have honoured their loved ones, so that you can draw inspiration for your own funeral arrangements.
