Three Le Pine Funerals locations recently invited the community to come and share a cup of tea and partake of a sweet or a savory treat to support the Caner Council's Biggest Morning Tea.
The Biggest Morning Tea is one of the Cancer Council's most important awareness and fund-raising events. It has a long history and is very popular in the community as it encourages people to get together for either a morning or an afternoon tea.

Funeral homes are already an important part of the community. Le Pine Funerals often lets community groups hold their meetings in our chapels and, with a Justice of the Peace to be found at many of our locations, it is common for people to drop in to one of our funeral homes from time to time to access this important community service.
With all that can go on at a Le Pine Funeral home, it is not as unusual as you might think to see people with a plate of treats or a cup of tea in their hands. The Biggest Morning Tea provides us with another opportunity to not only support the communities around us, but also to support an important cause such as cancer research.

The three locations which hosted morning teas were Healesville, Lilydale and Croydon. Together, well over one hundred people attended the morning teas which raised well over $1,000 in donations for the Cancer Council. There were fun and laughs, give-aways and raffles, along with some very tasty treats and lots of good conversation to keep everyone in the mood.
Le Pine Funerals would like to thank all who attended and we look forward to hosting you again next year.
